Although I find Twitter to be difficult to follow and use, I am aware that it is now very popular with teens and young adults.  I am learning how to use Twitter.

I begin following Linda Braun - @lbraun2000 and got some great information that I will pass along soon.  She tweeted about the #ConnectedLearning alliances's new website http://makesummer.org.  I checked out the website and thought it would be useful.

I also follow Buffy Hamilton - @buffyjhamilton.  She makes a good point in one post that says that maybe if we would involve teens in the selection of summer reading that it would take on a whole new meaning.  I followed the discussion and liked the points that were made.  I did find out that allowing students a hand in the selections is much easier in a small school.  I think I will suggest this in our small school next summer.

  1. Way to go Pam! Sometimes I feel a bit silly when I am required to participate in Twitter chat sessions because they go so fast, and I don't quite know all the "rules" of tweeting! But hey! We're catching up fast! :o)
